OUR COPYRIGHT RESPONSIBILITIES

Timetable Content and Layout

Timetable publishers are automatically granted copyright protection on the information content and its presentation for a period of time. We will only offer timetables for which we have obtained a publisher's license or where we reasonably believe the item to be out-of-copyright. We seek licenses to reproduce scanned images on the understanding that we make subsequent access on a non-commercial and free-to-users basis, and will credit items accordingly. The same terms will apply to any person or organisation that uses material obtained from Timetable World.

Copyright can be re-assigned, as often happens when a transport undertaking is acquired or liquidated. We will make reasonable efforts to identify the current beneficial owner in order to seek permission to reproduce images. If you believe we have inadvertently impinged your copyright, please contact us immediately at contact@timetableworld.com or at our registered postal address.

Embedded Services

A number of services are embedded in Timetable World. We will require users of this website to be bound by any licensing and copyright conditions applicable to those sites, unchanged.

TERMS and CONDITIONS

Any rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

  1. Access to and use of this site is provided by Timetable World subject to the following Terms and Conditions. Use of the site constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
  2. Timetable World reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online and highlighting them in the News section.
  3. This site is normally available 24 hours a day, but Timetable World will not be liable if for any reason the site is unavailable at any time or for any period.
  4. Access to this site may be suspended temporarily or permanently and without notice.
  5. Contributors of items for scanning will be made a "Scanning Proposal". By using professional scanning services we aim to minimise the risk of loss or damage to loaned items but, unless there are special terms outlined in the scanning proposal, neither Timetable World not its agents will be liable for any loss or damage to any item beyond a sum of USD50 per item. No liability will be accepted for items not listed in the scanning proposal.
  6. Copyright on the scans of contributed items will be owned by Timetable World.
  7. Timetable World will make every effort to assure the accuracy of indexing and geo-location data but it is nevertheless supplied on an "as-is" basis, with no warranty explicit or implied.
  8. By using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by the licensing terms of the third-party service providers embedded in the site.
  9. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.

LICENSING

Timetable Content and Layout

In-copyright items for which Timetable World holds a reproduction license are not available for re-licensing, but we may be able to facilitate negotiation of a license extention with the copyright owner for you. Out-of-copyright items can be used without limitation.

Scans

Scans of timetables and maps are the copyright of Timetable World in all cases, even if the original is out-of-copyright. We will happily license non-commercial uses, but please ask first. And don't waste bandwidth by trying to screen-scrape every image - ask us for a DVD. Yes - we'll ask you for a financial contribution towards running the site.
