Description

The Regional Council of Lombardy has approved the “Regulatory manual for the creation and management of the regional transport information system” (resolution of 26 June 1980, annexed to the resolution), aimed at guaranteeing a unified image and clear communication for users in 19 transport regions. The manual, tested with the timetables of the Sondrio and Mantua regions and judged positive, implements Regional Law 10/77 and establishes binding criteria for service concessions, use of graphic elements and authorizations by the Councillor for Transport. It contains detailed technical specifications on: branding (L+E casting), colours (Pantone 368 green and pallets for transport types), positive/negative versions, typography (DIN, Haas Helvetica), printed formats (booklets, leaflets, posters), cartographic rules and symbols, layout and legibility of timetables, vehicle signage, vehicle marking, postcards for user comments and stickers for resales.
